Fifty Film is a project started by myself, Logan Meckley, and Paul O'dea. The project launches in January of 2013 with one simple idea put in place. One camera travels through many photographers across the entire 50 of the United States. The idea is to use a simple point and shoot 35mm film camera so it was easy to carry, use, and ship. One Camera. Infinite Perspectives.
To create a universal branding for the project and connect all of these photographers at once place.
We created a clean logo for the project that is recognizable and points people directly to the website to view the projects content. The logo is both an entity and a call-to-action, engaging photographers and creating interest, forwarding them to the website. For the viewers, we have a description and content viewable so they can get an idea of what the project is and what to expect when it launches.
We also created promotional material for both the photographers and the viewers. We included a "Coming Soon" map for now until the camera starts traveling and it's location will be updated as it moves from city to city. This includes a large relief block print on fabric, stickers, posters, and patches. These are all consistent with the brand for the project. Along with this, we designed a manual to be shipped along with the camera to the photographers.
This project is now officially endorsed by Indie Film Labs, they will be doing all of our developing and scanning of the film.
